This is Pearl, a bison drum that I made in 2016 with the heart-felt intention to call in community and awaken the warrior within myself.

As a master of healing hypnosis, I have discovered profound healing within meditative trance. My inner imagination is rich and vivid, brimming with images that I yearn to bring to life on canvas. Despite my efforts over the years, my skills have often felt inadequate to fully capture these visions. Yet, the more I learn about the foundations of painting, the more I believe that one day I will succeed in translating these inner landscapes into vibrant, full-color reality.

Mixed media collage is a transcendent experience for me. It is a realm where I can break free from the constraints of single-medium art, embracing the limitless possibilities of combining diverse materials. There is a magical process that unfolds as I layer one element over another, often inadvertently concealing and revealing aspects I hadn't planned. It feels as though the art is creating itself through me, guiding my hands and shaping the final piece in unexpected ways. This spontaneous collaboration between myself and the materials is nothing short of magical.
